Teams

ALLEYN OLD BOYS FOOTBALL CLUB fields 5 league sides all playing competitive fixtures mainly on Saturday afternoons, in the SOUTHERN AMATEUR FOOTBALL LEAGUE, AFA and Old Boys Cups.

The club also fields a vets side playing on most Sunday mornings throughout the season.

  1st XI
Our senior side playing high standard competitive football. The emphasis is more on winning than on the social side but you will often find several of our first teamers propping up the clubhouse bar on a Saturday night. Over the years we have consistently supplied players to the SAL representative side and continue to do so. If you would like to find out more about playing for our first team contact Marcus via the Contacts page.
Chris Jones (Captain)

2nd XI
The "2s" play high quality football and like to see themselves as ready in the wings to push their way in to the first team. Payney and McCann, the new joint captains, have instilled some belief in to the 2s this season and they have started well and are currently riding high in the table. All going well they will continue to push for a promotion spot and end the season on a high by pushing their way back into the top flight.
Simon Payne

  3rd XI
The 3s play good quality football and still manage to find time for the social side of the game. Our maverick 3s are traditionally the in-form team of the club and regularly compete for honours. This season is no exception and we expect to see them jump straight back up in to the 1st Division after being relegated last season. Again this is a reversal of fortune after last season and can be largely credited to another new captain - Paul Latty - who will hopefully continue to push the team onto bigger and better things.
Pat Steel (Captain)

  4th XI
After narrowly missing promotion last season as well as making the final of the Old boys cup, the 4s will be looking to build on last season's success to achieve promotion. With a new captain and a squad combining the pace and talent of youth and several players with 2nd and 3rd team experience bounce the 4s are looking to get out of Division 4 South.
Jason Peck & Nick Pikesley(Captains)

  5th XI
A new captain and new faces but still the same ethos and team spirit: a bit of football and then hit the bar!! Nevertheless, although the 5s have a good social aspect to the team, they still play good quality competitive football and go out with the expectation of winning the game. So far this season the 5s are in the top 3 of their division and are on course to push for promotion in to Minor Division 3 South so less beer and more midweek training I think...
Rob Cummings & Stuart Rolt (Captains)

Strollers
When not at Dulwich & Sydenham golf course, our vets can be seen playing most Sundays in friendly fixtures in the South East region as well as competing in the Vets Cup. Featuring legends from bygone days (Caintoo, Eddie Bowen and Tim "sticky sand" Wareham to name just a few) the Strollers are all about touch and passing the ball rather than running round like headless chickens. (According to some sources it's all about being the better looking team and winning on the nuts). After a brief-ish stint out on pitch its a headlong rush to the bar for a few welcome beers after the game. If you're interested in playing for the Strollers you should contact John Battle (see Contacts page) and please note that the minimum age requirement is technically 35 years old.
John Battle (Captain)
